Also I would like to commend everybody out there with photography blogs. The stuff you see, even just on blogger is truly mesmerising.
Anyway I have a set of pictures of around Nuremberg I would like to share.
The above is a Pond and bench in somebody's back garden near the Wohrder See.
Below we have The Frauenkirche (Church of our Lady) in the Altstadt.
Above is the Haptmarkt in the square in front of The Frauenkirche. Quite a vibrant market (I waited until nobody was going past before taking this picture).
Abdul in front of the Ehekarussell also called Ehebrunnen - Ehe fountain.
Quite a scary thing in my opinion (the fountain, not Abdul).
The above is a picture of a horse and its fishy rider statue on the western side of the See spraying water over and into the See at the Wöhrder Talübergang.
I really like the See and the surrounding area. Nuremberg is really beautiful in places.
The See side was not as busy as I expected it to be this afternoon. I mainly go along just for the walk but today I spent some time at Tullnau Weiher and the Wöhrder See, jotting down some ideas and scenes for my book, The Adept. I seem to have a beginning and a middle but no end and nothing else to fill up the cracks either. Still I'm glad I've taken this up again. I also find that it is fairly easy to create character conversation, something I always assumed would be hard.
Did not do much during the week, not even at work, as was still waiting on parts and when they finally arrived on Thursday I had no programmer...
Saturday I was in the Altstadt as I wanted to buy some t-shirts. The few I do have here would probably start falling apart soon with wearing then washing the same ones every week.
I thought nothing could really surprise me in Nuremberg, but Saturday something new happened on my way to the Altstadt.
I was stopped in the street by a young guy driving a Ford Transit (he looked too young to be driving), who asked in a heavily accented German if I spoke English. It was either a Brummie accent or maybe a London one. Quite a broad accent anyway. I thought he was asking for directions...Anyway, Yeah I quipped.
"See what it is, yeah, we just back from this exhibition at the Messe yeah and I got this new leather couch in the back..."
I didn't even need to think about it "Nah mate, sorry..." I was suprised and he was blocking the street anyway.
Last thing I expected, some english guy trying to sell me a leather couch from the back of a van, in Nuremberg...
